Drug Dealers Sought

01/15/2013

Two drug dealers are being sought on drug trafficking charges. In late December Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Agents along with Agents from the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force searched a hotel room in Heber Springs that was being used to distribute large amounts of methamphetamine throughout the Cleburne, White, and Independence County area.

During the search of the room Investigators located material consistent with the packaging and sales of methamphetamine and approximately 17grams of suspected methamphetamine packaged for sale.

Evidence located during the search led to the identification of a suspected methamphetamine supplier in the Batesville area. A joint operation coordinated by the 16th Judicial Drug Task Force which included, Investigators with the Independence County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division and Narcotics Investigators from the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office  resulted in the seizure of approximately 319 grams of suspected methamphetamine .

Jose Garcia of Batesville and Brandy Burgess of Batesville are being sought in connection with the items seized and failing to appear in court after posting bond. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these two individuals is being asked to contact the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division or the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force.
